PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection: December 2015

Your PlayStation Plus picks for December have been revealed, and there's a bit of a fantasy flavour to the games available on PlayStation 4, with the first episode of King's Quest and Gauntlet: Slayer Edition filled to the brim with pixies, goblins 'n shit.

On PlayStation 3, meanwhile, you can grab Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon for some 80s action movie homaging, neon-soaked, Michael Biehn-voiced shooty fun, and SSX for some snowboardy shenanigans.

Don't feel left out if you have a PS Vita, as you can get Rocketbirds Hardboiled and Freedom Wars too. These will also be going live on PS Plus from 1st December. Take a look at 'em all below.

Not sure about the PS4 games, but Farcry on PS3 and Freedom Wars on PS vita are top notch games!

I see the quality of PS+ games has dipped massively over the last year that I've had my PS4... Don't get me wrong I'll still claim anything free thats going but you don't seem to get many "retail" titles they generally tend to be indy games... Same as Xbone pretty much..

I assume that is because it is hard to convince bigger games to drop how much they earn for it to go GwG or PSN+

On the other hand it is easy to convince indie games as it is free publicity whilst still getting a payday as Microsoft and Sony do pay out depending on downloads for these free games.

I'd start expecting older retail games to start appearing again this time next year when the sales of those games drop again

The PS3 and Vita games are always excellent.

So like Sedge says we need to keep in mind the time lines.

PS3 got excellent games because it was at the end of the generation.

I am still hoping we get a secret bonus Xmas game

Not great if you've only got a PS4, episode one of an episodic game?

I would have thought Sony would have made more of an effort, seeing as people will be getting PS4s for Xmas.

Blood Dragon's great though and Freedom Wars is meant to be one of the best Vita games.

Fairly average effort I feel especially when viewed against this months games with gold, that said I am looking forward to playing freedom wars and far cry
