PlanetSide 2 is free and out now, offering massive-scale first-person shootery for a vast number of players in an all-out planetary war against evil enemy Empires.

"Massive communities with unwavering camaraderie band together in PlanetSide 2 as the game challenges the skill and grit of the most seasoned soldier through intense infantry, air and ground vehicle gameplay. Victory requires strategic teamwork and a quick trigger finger to survive the enormous battles," reads the release date post on the PS Blog.

Apparently, PlanetSide 2 even managed to set a Guinness World Record for most players online in a single FPS battle, with 1,158 players. On PS4, the game has also been refined and streamlined, with the new battle map, Koltyr, included.

PlanetSide 2 will be heading to PS4 on 23rd June 2015 in North America and Europe, and is free-to-play, requiring no PlayStation Plus subscription.

know a lot of people who enjoyed that game on PC hopefully they have improved the tutorial as it was massively lacking on the PC

Great news...i used to play the original Planetside on the pc many years ago .Probably some of the best fun i have ever had gaming online.
