Lego worlds
Who likes LEGO? Unless you’ve just put your foot down on an errant piece of plastic brick, the answer is probably “you”. Well, you, here’s some good news for your Monday afternoon: Warner Bros. TT Games and LEGO have announced a brand new game, called LEGO Worlds!
LEGO Worlds is, ‘a limitless collection of procedurally generated worlds made entirely of LEGO Bricks, where players build unique environments and define their own experience.’ Players can let their imagination roam wild and build what they wish, while mastering the art of construction along the way.
‘In LEGO Worlds, players have the freedom to alter procedurally generated worlds and create anything they can imagine one brick at a time, or use prefabricated structures to customize their environments. Large-scale landscaping tools are available to modify terrain quickly and easily. Entire worlds and creations are brought to life with characters and creatures that interact with each other as well as the player in unexpected ways. From helicopters to dragons, motorbikes to bears, there are always interesting ways for players to explore the vast worlds and discover hidden treasures.’
TT Games Managing Director, Tom Stone, has this to say: “LEGO Worlds embodies the physical, LEGO brick-building fun that consumers have enjoyed for decades, on a digital platform that delivers an entirely new type of experience with the beloved bricks. From the brick-by-brick editor, to discovering an expansive range of items, characters and creatures to populate your worlds – the creative possibilities are endless.” I do love it when the creative possibilities are endless.
It all looks very exciting, but words of caution are needed – it isn’t confirmed for Xbox. So far, it’s just for PC and Steam Early Access
Still, they’ve not said it won’t come to consoles, and if it does, ‘future plans will also offer multiplayer and sharing features, for friends to experience each other’s worlds and show-off their creations.’ It is fun building with friends, unless you’re friends are the sadistic sort that enjoy destroying your creations.
Given the lack of console confirmation, there is also no word on a release date.
Also, we’re all going to have to stop saying Minecraft is like digital LEGO to people who don’t understand what Minecraft is

Re: Lego worlds
The last sentence made me laugh because I was literally thinking, this is just like minecraft lol but I imagine the bricks will be smaller giving a more accurate/ better look to what ever you construct. I've always wanted minecraft bricks to come smaller and the option of circles, so maybe this is just what I want. Here is hoping they will bring out a one version eventually

It's an 'Early Access Game' so not a complete version. Looks pretty good though with a lot of potential, I hope they support mods cause this could be a serious contender to Minecraft.
