So Long Silent Hills: 'It's not going to happen.'

Bad news for fear-fans. The latest Silent Hill game, Silent Hills, is no more.

Silent Hills has been making waves since demo, P.T., was released on PSN. Gamers praised the terrifying atmosphere of the demo, and were looking forward to the full game's released.

But that nightmare dream is over, game director, Guillermo del Toro has confirmed at the San Francisco Film Society event. During a Q&A, del Toro said: 'It's not going to happen, and that breaks my greasy heart.'

Walking Dead star Norman Reedus, who was set to play the protagonist, later tweeted: 'Super bummed about this, was really looking forward to it. Hopefully it'll come back around. Sorry everyone.'

P.T. (or playable teaser) will be taken down from the Playstation store this Wednesday, according to Konami. And like that - Silent Hills will be gone. For now.

WOW, that is an odd decision.

Awful news. I love every Silent Hill game! Yes! Every one . Even Downpour!

That's a real shame, I know a load of people that loved P.T. and were really looking forward to this game. Hopefully it isn't a lost cause and will resurface at some point

Konami probably going under and trying to minimise losses.

Gutted, was really looking forward to it. Got to be because of the Konami/Kojima fallout. Hopefully he'll go on to make a new Silent Hills somewhere else.
