Destiny House of Wolves Brings Updates for All

Last night Bungie unveiled their brand new DLC - House of Wolves, and let the three players still gaming on Destiny exactly what they can expect.

So, those changes in full, as follows:

- A whole new social space, The Reef, available to everyone - even those who haven't shelled out for the expansion pack.

- Buy from new Reef vendor, Trials of Orisis, who's available Friday-Tuesday

- Legendary weapons can now be upgraded to the House of Wolves level cap - again, without requiring the DLC

- Bow down and take quests from Petra, emissary to the Reef Queen

- All-new resources to upgrade your weapons, including Etheric Light, which can be earned by playing Nightfall strikes, Prisoners of Elders arena, and the Iron Banner

- Exchange unwanted resources for stuff you do want, by chatting to The Speaker

- Upgrading weapons and armour won't reset their progress

- Reforge and reset guns to choose all-new perks

It's a shame the "whole new social space" was created at least a year before the game's release.

Bungie really do think their fans are idiots. Though admittedly, if you spend any time on the Bungie forums you'd come to the same conclusion.

What really gets me isn't the fact that it's a dull, desolate world, our that it actively discourages teaming up with other players - it's that there mechanics are so brilliant. The guns are a real joy to fire - and it's totally wasted.

I like the world, there's just nowhere near enough of it.
