Windows 10 Release Date Confirmed...Accidentally.

So now we know. Thanks to AMD - the super-fly computer processor chaps - we know that Microsoft's latest update, Windows 10, will be released in July.

AMD top dog, Lisa Su, let the date slip during a call with financial institution JP Morgan.

Su apparently said: "What we also are factoring in is, you know, with the Windows 10 launch at the end of July, we are watching sort of the impact of that on the back-to-school season, and expect that it might have a bit of a delay to the normal back-to-school season inventory build-up."

Prior to that, all Microsoft would confirm was that Windows 10 would be coming out over the summer. The update goes right across the board, with tablets, mobiles and desktops... and Xbox One.

Good news for all those Xbox fans who are literally figuratively screaming out for the cross-platform game-playing potential that the new update will provide. Although some will be concerned about bringing a controller to a keyboard-and-mouse fight.

Looking forward to this I just hope Microsoft haven't rushed the system and have taken the time to finally give us a polished product on release.

I'm quietly confident - but after the Windows 8 debacle, it could go either way, this one.

I find every other release from Windows to be a good version, pretty much since Windows 95 this has been the case.
