Ridge Racer: Unbounded's European Online Servers Shut Down

Namco Bandai has announced that Ridge Racer: Unbounded's European online servers have been shut down, meaning that as of today there'll be no more multiplayer racing for the game on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. You'll still be able to play solo and use the Track Editor, although you won't be able to share your creations.

"The publisher and developer wanted to take this opportunity to thank, once again, all the players for their support of Ridge Racer Unbounded throughout the years," reads the official statement on Namco Bandai's official site. "From now on, Solo mode 'Dominate Shatter Bay' and the track editor 'Create My Cities', minus the online sharing options will remain fully playable."

Ridge Racer: Unbounded launched back in March 2012, and we actually rather liked it.

It should be mandatory that if the switch off then all the unobtainable ach/trophy pop for everyone

Yes a shame as its a good but challenging game.
