Far Cry 4 Escape From Durgesh Prison DLC Introduces Permadeath to Kyrat

Far Cry 4 will be receiving the Escape from Durgesh Prison add-on next month, adding a series of challenges that will pit you against the clock. Here's the rub though; permadeath will be a thing, meaning you'll need to take a prudent and strategical approach rather than steaming in with a big machine gun.

Speed and efficiency will reward players with a place on the leaderboards, but that's something of a tall order when you're stripped of your weapons and thrown in the slammer. As Ajay and Hurk, you'll start out in Yuma's prison, having to complete challenges to earn your lost weapons and unlock skills.

Playable solo or in co-op, Escape from Durgesh Prison tasks you with reaching the extraction point alive, but if you die, you'll have to start from scratch. Escape from Durgesh Prison will be available for Far Cry 4 on January 13th, 2015 for $9.99/£7.99 or as part of the $29.99/£23.99 Season Pass.
