Multiplayer achievements- for or against

I personnally am against these achievements as unless it is a major title like the COD, Halo, Fifa series mp dies out quite quickly making it extremly hard to get the achievements.

I don't mind them as long as they are not too long winded.
I always go for the multi ones first as like you said there is a danger people stop playing and then they become impossible.
Wish developers would make them more fun or more co-op ones.

Its lazy to just tag on ones like "kill 57,000 zombies"
As by the time you get that far with the game you can't wait to finish it and end up hating a game you loved.

However with racing games it does seem to work and is more fun to go for!
the 1 million online credits in Forza 2 is achieveable and keeps you playing a fun online game.

I dont really like them that much but think they are important to the longevity of a game, without online achievements many games with multiplayer would be dead online a few week after release. i dont really like the ones you have to get for ranked matches, why not just let you get them with your freinds in player matches.

I get bored of games very quickly, and don't play on line that much. Don't really know why... I just forget I suppose.

But seeing as I never get a full 1k I'm not overly fussed! ha ha

i think somw online points are good to encourage you to play online but some are just to hard to get batterfield bad company to get all of the awards just to hard.
also RRSV1 to get to elite rank would just take to long the same with gow2 to reach level 100.
they should be able to obtain with say a max of 50 gaming hours for an avrage skilled gamer.

cod modern warfare had it spot on, all SP achievements and it stopped any glitching arses online, just look at gears 1 and 2 for glitchers for online achievements

kepp them single player only imo.

totaly against mp achievs.. cod 4-5 has no mp achievs (if not count the ones worth 0 points) and just look at em.. 2 of the most popular dogdam games on XBL.. MP longevity aint about achievements its about how good that mp is.. if it sucks only achievement hunters will try to play it.. everyone else will simply tradein the game..

Sometimes I don't get a game till it's going down in price, and if I like it and want to go for 1000/1000 then I can't, because by that time hardly anyone plays it.. Plus people become total fools when they are achievement hungry and it spoils the fun sometimes!
