Massive day one patch for MCC not so massive now

Good news and some bad news for your data cap, folks. The Halo: The Master Chief Collection title update that adds multiplayer and a few other things is now available for download. It's smaller than expected, too! But it's still pretty sizable; 15GB to be exact. It's 5GB slimmer than what was initially promised, sure, but depending on your internet speed it could be a time-consuming roadblock standing between you and your first killtrocity on "Sidewinder" -- if you're buying a physical copy, of course. In case you've made a digital pre-order, you can grab the patch right now should you have auto-downloads turned on, according to 343 Industries executive producer Dan Ayoub. You have to wait until November 11th to play it, naturally.

Balls, i still dont know what to do about mine, keep my disk and download it all on day 1 or get the digital copy, i have mine pre-ordered with shop to and dont know when they will take the cash

Looks like they have taken that decision away from me - gutted, may get to play on Wednesday with some people then if i am lucky

I'll probably only get it Wednesday or Thursday anyway but not due to lack of fast internet. Whenever I pre-order from UK places they never send it out with enough time for it to reach me by release day. As i've played all these already it's not like I'll be left behind if it's a couple of days late.

By the time I get it I expect the patch will be back up to 20gb lol

Thanks for the update. So glad I got a digital copy on this. Didn't know that it will also download the day one patch too. Maybe that why it took me about four hours to download it Lol.

I can now finally review the online multiplayer!

Just got one more mission to get thru on Halo 2 to complete it. Finished on 14 of 15 last night

How many people here are actually planning on buying this? I'm gonna buy GTA and wanna buy one more game this month, can't decide between this, Far Cry 4 or Dragon Age. If people are gonna be playing the multiplayer on this I think I might get it.

Probably going to play 1 and 2 and then story of 3 first before mp
