Xbox One April Update (Updated)
Just received mine as part of the Preview Program
here is a list of what it contains
•Game and app saves and updates. A game save progress bar will show you the status of your game saves. You will also be able to easily tell what games and apps are being updated or have been updated recently.
•Friends improvements. Notifications will be added to see when favorites and friends sign in to Xbox Live. This actually was one of the most frequently requested features from the first preview wave and we made it a priority to include it in the April update. Also, friends who are in multiplayer will be identified in the friends list. We’ll also add the ability to view friends’ most popular apps.
•Blu-ray 50 Hz video output support for content recorded at 50 Hz will resolve video playback issues some Xbox Live members in Europe are experiencing.
•Kinect voice and motion improvements will continue to fine tune the quality and reliability of Xbox One commands.
•Improved GameDVR video quality through compression algorithm improvements.
•Updates to Xbox One device management to address issues controlling TVs, set top boxes, and receivers that our customers have reported.
•New audio settings to tune how much volume is lowered when Kinect is used in communications.
UPDATE: new features being pushed to previewers over the course of the next few days
•Blu-ray player supports 50 Hz video output for content recorded at 50 Hz. We’ll also be updating the Blu-ray Player app in the coming days to round out these improvements.
•Controller and headset adaptor firmware updates will reduce audio static and improve wireless connectivity.
•Silent reboot after system updates and system update on demand now available. After this update, if your console is in Instant On mode, the update will happen automatically and return to standby upon completion. This means you won’t need to power on your console after an update moving forward. If you want to take future updates when available without waiting for your console to do it on its own, we’ve added this option under system settings. It will only show as available when there is an update to take.

Re: Xbox One April Update (Updated)
Thanks for posting this mate.
Wonder how long it will take to be as good as the UI on 360!!
My guess is never as achievements is an app and friend is an app, so it will never be quick enough as its app switching.
XONE is the PS3 and PS4 is the 360.

Nice to know what's coming. It should all be in there already but as long as they get there in the end!
I was thinking about what Kent said, just last night.
I just don't enjoy using the bone at all. Its clunky and slow and the bloody screen glitches and freezes. It takes ages to view cheevs like Kent says, because you are switching apps.
Every game i have has one glitch or another too. Many improvements are needed yet.

Its fairly long winded grabbing your device and then starting the app though mate just to type a message.
Re: Xbox One April Update (Updated)
No mate. The xbox one is my techy limit. My wife has a kindle fire but like with her knickers mate , I don't mess. I am due a laptop upgrade as my dell inspiron is a bit dated.

I really like smart glass, much prefer it to using the messaging system as i dont have to pause the gameplay nearly as much

Re: Xbox One April Update (Updated)
I find smart glass easy to fire up. Although to be honest most the time I use my phone to send messages as it doesn't interfere with what I'm viewing on screen and can be done along side the game. If I remember rightly they brought out a version of messenger to work on android at one point as well which can send and receive xbox messages, I had it on my old android before I went windows

There are already problems with the new update. My console has been updated and first thing i go on is xbox fitness as im on the 8th card and theres an achievement for the 10th card for 100g 1000TA points and my card level has been reset to level 1 and 6 stars took me fucking 3 months of 2-3 workouts a month to get that high so fucking piss off.All the stats are still there but the card levels reset im not the only one seems like everyone who got the update got reset .hoping none of my other game save are fucked up.

Sorry to hear this Gambler.
This is why I never ever Beta test anything.
Beta are always full of bugs.
Far better to just wait.

Re: Xbox One April Update (Updated)
The friends notification doesn't work. Your friends are marked with a controler who are playing multiplay.

Re: Xbox One April Update (Updated)
Thought I would keep you in the loop. The beta preview is 1404.
For those of us brave enough to run the Beta , this one will run a little longer than 1403.
NOT ALL the update has been released yet , so you will receive a few updates in the next few days switching on different components.
The main notification for friends IS NOT enabled yet.
Hope this helps a little.
