Halo 2 anniversary on xbox one

Nothing confirmed yet but strong rumours of this coming out the end of the year with beta access to halo 5. Anyone hyped for this?

so a year into next gen the release will be halo 2

if I could only turn back time in my real life as much as these lack of idea devs then I would be yout

I am really excited about anything Halo! If true and they do as good as job as they did on Halo Anniversary then it will be ace!

I love Halo but would rather see them make new Halo games then just put old ones on new consoles. Saying that I probably would still get it.

i hope this is true as I have never played any of the first halos. I am gonna pick up the anniversary game sometime soon so i can cathc up on the story as playing through some of the newer stuff i am confused

Halo 2 is the only one I have not played as I never owned the original xbox. I played Halo 1 on PC back in the day.
The new rumour is there will be two editions. The standard one with beta access to halo 5 and also thought to be a second version of Halo 2 Anniversary called “War Collection” will also include ports of Halo 3 and Halo 4. Sounds too good to be true to me.

Sounds good. I'm a sucker for these remakes.

There was definitely co-op in it mate, again, it's one of he halo games that I played to death, fingers crossed for all this, even though it will be a long time coming

I'd be very excited for this. I LOVED the job 343 did with Halo:Anniversary edition that came out on the 360 so would jump at the chance for some retro Halo:2 action on the Xbox One with achievements. It'll be interesting to see if they do retro multiplayer for this too.

I've still got Halo:2 and a Xbox but they're tucked away in a closet. It will also make a nice stop gap between Halo-4 and Halo-5 too similar to the way Anniversary came between Reach and Halo:4
