It includes micro-transactions. But because the game itself is already $6.99, then hopefully it'll be straightforward enough without paying extra.
It also apparently gives you XP, achievements and emblems in Halo 4.

Even Halo can't make me switch to windows 8 
on any PC. I'm sure it's fine on phones and surface though.

Well I don't have a Windows phone but I do have Windows 8 on my laptop so will be getting this when it comes out.

Same here mate. Only six months into my current two year phone contract too so wont be getting a Windows 8 mobile any time soon. This'll be the first Halo game I've never/will never play
