Last Remnant

So I recently started playing Last Remnant and so far I'm enjoying it, it has it's pretty cut scenes and his 'mysterious' plot type jobby. The fighting system is taking a bit of getting used to considering the last rpgs I played for any length were ff9, kingdom hearts and eternal sonata.

The thing that's really bugging me is that half the achievements are 'secret' so I've had to go look for them and that after about 15 hours game play I still only have 1 achievement!

Has any one else played it? Any tips you can give me?

I love this game, played it for hours when I first got my Xbox and only unlocked 2 achievements so far, they take forever!! I have stopped playing it now as I got stuck in a bit where you have fight 5 groups of baddies in one go and I keep dying! Damn those albion rabbit things! I keep having a little go but can't get past this bit.

Rabid I got stuck on one of the first main battles lol I nearly threw the controller at my precious tv I find it a bit more difficult than finqal fantasy, with that is was 'choose your best attack and kill, kill, kill' This one's asking me to think about it properly noooo lol

I checked that link at lunchtime, some of those achievements look fairly longwinded!!!

The battles are fairly easy once you get used to what you are doing, my team just isn't strong enough to get passed the bit I am stuck on, think I did something wrong somewhere along the line.

Yeah thats the only problem really, I HATE leveling up but it has to be done to be strong enough to do certain battles. Just travel to another bit of map and do lots of links with weaker enemies. That usually does the trick, though it can become repetitive. I mainly play them for the pretty cut scenes

The cut scenes are pretty (must be girl thing)! If I travel to another part I have to re-do the bit I just did and it took forever but I think it may resort to that! Must get this game out again, I love it and had forgotten about it until you mentioned it.

lol Yeah gotta be a girl thing... like eternal sonata sooo pretty haha.

Could be worth it in the end, I had to compleatly restart FF9 at one point because I made such a mess up and couldn't get out of it and accidently saved over the file that could have got me out the mess. I wanted to cry because I was so close to the end

That's harsh!! I had a game on the Gamecube that I had to restart because I overwrote the wrong save, I had spent hours getting as far as I did and I think I did actually cry!!!

How you getting on with Last Remnant?

i thought i would interupt this mothers meeting and throw in a comment, if you like your jrpg's i would recommend Lost Odyssey, it is basically a final fantasy game on the 360, the cutscenes are amazing the characters are good and the story is great. plus it uses the turn based fighting system not the real time system used in most rpgs these days

Thanks Gary, Lost Odyssey has been on my possible list for awhile think it will have to go on my to buy list now after another recommendation! Pay day tomorrow so I'll have to see how many pennies I have after renewing my Live subscription.

Gary - I just mentioned lost Odyssey to my fella and apparently we have it lol. I just haven't checked his pile recently. Will defiantly give it a go at some point. My only problem is that I usually can only play one game at a time, then I get a bit bored and it's on to the next. Which is why it's taken me 14 months to get where I am on oblivion lol.

Rabid - It's not going as fast as I'd like, trying to level up a bit but not got much of a chance to get on it this week during my time off. Hoping next monday or tues I'll get a proper session on Xbox. Thanks for the FR added you back
