Me mother gave me some cash early for my birthday so I'm putting it towards one of the next gen consoles!! Which one to get first will depend on the final details. If M$ decide to go ahead with this Online needed tomfoolery though, I will be sticking to the Playstation for my future gaming frivolity thankyou!!

You will be able to put the new xbox next to your current one and you wont see a difference. Why would you. The only thing they can change is the look of the machine and the speed it operates. Most of us will still use there shitty internet connection that they have now.
I realy think people are building this up to something it's not. In time it may be the all singing and dancing next gen , but not out of the box this November.

Noticed this on the dashboard last night, I'm looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us I don't think we'll really get to see how the next gen is going to look until E3, exciting times!

Fingers crossed for micropayments, always on internet needed, social media total obsession, more and more and more non gaming sections, windows 8 style apps and apps and apps, no secondhand games, all media needing to be purchased through the online store and no achs.

If they can nail this then I am in

Lets hope its not just a faster gaming version of the 360 with a simple blade interface and better graphics and a blurry drive.....that would be horrible

The online only thing realy doesn't bother me in the slightest. I always have the internet turned on anyways and my phone, xbox and laptop are always connected so why is everyone making such a big deal out of it now?

Because if anything like the other weekend happens (Xbox Live down for hours) then you may not be able to use the console at all. Obviously that's a worst case scenario, but that's what the rumours are suggesting.

E3 is June 11th-13th so that will be here shortly after this announcment. And so the hype machine begins....
