Star Trek: The Game - New making of video goes all Gorn on us!

With all the news about JJ Abrams involvement with both Star Wars and Star Trek, it is easy to forget there is a new film on it's way, which of course means a tie-in game. Thankfully this isn't a movie tie-in title and although it will have the likeness and some of the voices from the films, the plot is all original which should avoid the usual tie-in curse. Instead you've got a 3rd person cover shooter with various other elements thrown in for good measure, such as stealth and the ability to actually engage in combat with the famous Enterprise herself.

With yourself playing both Spock and Kirk (whether these can be played separate by two different players is a bit grey at the moment) against one of the most famous enemies form the original series of Star Trek - the Gorn. Rest assured, as the new making of video shows, they don't resemble the man in a rubber suit that we are familiar with but are sleek lizardmen of various different sizes and styles. And here at GSA we like to spoil you so you'll also find the first making of video explaining the different gameplay styles within the game.

Star Trek: The Game is due for release on April 23rd from Namco Bandai.
