Resident Evil 6 EX3 Costumes

Has anybody here been going for the retro EX3 costumes available through participating in events on RE.net?

This weekend I logged in to redeem my ticket from the Zombie event, and got myself a badass costume for Leon where he's in his R.P.D. outfit from Resi 2.

If anyone doesn't know about these costumes and is interested in getting them, you have to sign up to RE.net, link your Resi 6 game to your account (with the ingame code), and participate in certain events to grab them. There is currently an event running until 8th Feb to unlock another EX3 costume - it is called Neutralize the Threat and you have to kill at least 1 ogroman to participate: CLICK TO TAKE A LOOK

What costumes has everyone gone for? Or which ones would you pick? I am torn with my next choice between Sherry and Ada.

I've not had any tickets so far, so I am having to wait for the current event to end. I'm not sure what costume I'll choose though, but I think I'm leaning towards Chris or Leon.

To particpate and earn your costume unlock, you have to kill at least one of the target creature, who by the looks of the picture is:

Nice easy one this, just kill creatures. So basically, just play the game between now and the 4th April to participate. (Remember you also have to be signed up to RE.net).

Chris next for me I think.

[EDIT: Note that it is enemies killed during the campaign only! Nearly missed this as I played on Mercs first to try and get it done a bit quicker! ]

Pretty sure I've missed an EX3 event.

BUT! A new EX3 costume event is about to start in one hour.

-7,000 medals earned across all players to meet target
-The medals valid for this event are as follows:
Avenged your fallen comrades (Chris Chapter 3-3)
(Other medals or enemy kills are not used for this event)
-No difficulty setting limits.
-No single / multiplayer limits.

So basically, earn one of these medals to be eligable for a new EX3 costume.

Neutralize the Threat 2

Rules:
-10,000 medals earned across all players
-The medals valid for this event are as follows:
Provided cover while Finn set the bombs (Chris chapter 2-1)
Gained control over the bridge (Chris chapter 2-2)
Neutralized 3 anti-aircraft guns (Chris chapter 2-3)
Teamed up with the BSAA in the square (Jake chapter 1-3)
Defeated the giant B.O.W. through its weakspot (Chris chapter 2-3 / Jake chapter 1-3)
All other medals and enemy kills are not valid for this event.
- No difficulty setting limits.
- No single / multiplayer limits.
-In the event of a tie, players are awarded the same rank.
- In the event of a tie, the number of Gold Medals won during the event period will be used as a tiebreaker.


3 days left on this one, the traget has already been met so if you play through Chris' chapter 2 in the next three days you are guarenteed an EX3 costume unlock.

-The medals valid for this event are as follows:
Made it to the cathedral (Leon chapter 2)
Solved the mysteries of the cathedral (Leon chapter 2)
Relieved Deborah of her suffering (Leon chapter 2)
Acquired Simmons' ring (Ada chapter 2)
Gave Simmons' ring to Leon (Ada chapter 2)
Obtained information about your doppelganger (Ada chapter 2)
Killed all enemies in front of the cathedral (Leon chapter 2)
Saved one or more survivors in the cathedral (Leon chapter 2)
Killed 5 zombies while in the minecart (Leon chapter 2 / Ada chapter 2)
All other medals and enemy kills are not valid for this event.
- No difficulty setting limits.
- No single / multiplayer limits.
- In the event of a tie, the number of Gold Medals won during the event period will be used as a tiebreaker.

So basically, just play through Leon's or Ada's chapter 2 and you should qualify for the event.

Bloody hell, I've had a bit of trouble getting into this game. I was terrible at first and it felt like a mess to control, but now I've tampered with the three camera settings on the title screen, I feel as though i'm getting somewhere. It seems a lot better to see what's going on and handle. I certainly need some practice before I venture online though methinks!

I think it handles pretty much the same as Resident Evil 5 - did you play through that?

No. I've yet to play Resi 5 Waggles. Keep meaning to pick up the Gold Edition. Instead I've bought the Gamecube remake of Resi 1 and some other classic Resi.

If only everything controlled as well as the Sublime Resi 4!

 Ahhh you're playing it in the wrong order!!!

5 was actually better than 6 in my opinion. 6 is still fun, but they butchered so much of the good stuff in 5.

The three things that wind me up about RE6:
- RE5 has upgradeable and unlockable guns, RE6 replaces this concept with a sucky perk system.
- In RE5 when you shoot secret emblems, they stay gone when you playthrough again. In RE6 they are there EVERY time you play, meaning you never quite know if you've found one you're missing or are just shooting the same one over and over. Why would they change this??!?
- RE6 has no campaign DLC. I don't want to buy multiplayer modes Capcom!!!

RE5 got a lot of stick, but it's one of my favourite co-op games of this gen. Me and my mate played it for absolutely hours, until we had unlocked practically everything! You will be doing yourself a disservice if you don't get it.


I actually still have RE4 and Code Veronica to play on 360. Played them on their original formats, but that was years ago now so could do with a refresher. Keep forgetting I have them though as they're on my HDD not on my games shelf!

I always meant to play 5 before 6, but I found a good deal on the Resi 6 Steelbook for 9 quid and couldn't resist. Then once I got it, I couldn't resist playing it! I'm gonna put it down now though, and get back on Darksiders 2, so maybe I'll buy Resi 5 before I get back on 6.

As for all the differences between 5 and 6....... You know Capcom. They have to tinker and mess around and keep things hardcore!! Silly buggers!

 To be honest at this stage you might as well just play 6 then play 5. The stories don't really link to each other except in the grand scheme of things anyway, so it won't really spoil anything major (actually there is just the one thing I can think of that it may spoil). 

BUT playing Resi 5 will be a treat compared to 6, so you may want to save the best for last...

Also, £9 for a steelbook version seems very good! Where'd you get that? Not even sure I've seen the steelbook version, does it look good?
