Technical info on new Xbox and Playstation

Looks like they are mirroring this generation a bit with the playstation having more raw power but the Xbox having more ram, how this will translate to games remains to be seen

I really hope Microsoft's offering is the more preferable console - I'd love to carry on with my tag, gamerscore etc, and obviously the better controller.

I'll definitely only be buying one of the two for at least a couple of years, so if the next PS is the better option I'd have to commt to that.

I'll be very interested to see what the launch line-up looks like for both consoles too - that should help the decision...


Of course having said all that, I almost certainly won't be buying either on the actual launch, so I've got time to convince myself why the Microsoft console is the better choice.

I will buy both on launch, its my one thing I treat myself on in life. Always buy every new console.

The PS4 would need vast changes to its UI and friends list to compete.

They must 100% include a way to cross game chat, but I don't think they will.
Also they need a way to compare trophies with friends easier and speed up the trophy syncing.

I never receive a msg from a friend on PS3 and I have never spoke to anyone on my friends list.

Nearly all online games are pretty silent too and nobody uses headsets.

Can you imagine saying that on XBOX??

The cross game chat issue with the PS3 is due to lack of RAM. I would assume that they might actually get that part right on the next one, but then this is the company who didn't really have an online strategy or any real care for it until they came up with Playstation Plus.
