What did you think of this years countdown sales?

Or perhaps it should be last years being as it's now 2013....

Anyway, the countdown sales that took place over Christmas 2011 were really awful, and I remember a lot of complaints about them. This time round I think Microsoft did really well, with a lot of variation on the types of content on sale, and no rubbish film rentals or anything like that. I ended up buying quite a few things - my wallet took a real beating! Here is my purchase list:

A World of Keflings Sugar DLC - 160MSP
A World of Keflings Space DLC - 160MSP
Counterstrike - 600MSP
Deadlight - 600MSP
Fez - 400MSP
From Dust - 600MSP
Realms of Ancient War - 400MSP
Trials Evolution - 800MSP
Trials Evolution OoP - 200MSP
Trine 2 - 400MSP
The Walking Dead 2-5 - 800MSP

In total, 5120 Microsoft Points spent over 12 days. Pretty crazy...

Did anyone take advantage of these sales? If so, what did you get?

I happily grabbed Fez, the Borderlands 2 season pass and the Walking Dead set. I wanted to grab the Skyrim addon but missed it because of New Year. I could have grabbed a lot more but I curbed my spending. I thought they were a cracking set of deals with a little of everything to satisfy the masses.

The Walking Dead, was an awesome deal 800MS points for the lot!!

Walking dead 1-5 - I'm about to start the 4th. They are amazing. And I think have replay value just to see how things could turn out with different decisions.

There were other things I wanted but Christmas plans and a v.busy (for a change) social life bled me dry lol

Haha, and I thought my list was bad! I did also want Serious Sam 3 and Jet Set Radio though, but managed to restrain myself and save another 1000MSP.

I am actually unsure about buying JSR from the marketplace, as although I know I want it, I'm also wondering if they'll do another Dreamcast Collection on disc. I would definitely prefer to have it as a physical copy too. Especially as it would be likely to contain JSR and Sonic Adventure 2.

I didn't buy anything this year due to lack of funds over Christmas. Probably gonna treat myself to a years live this month though

i only picked up a couple with three episodes of walking dead and i treated myself to the bully scholarship game. I have looked at the bully game for so long but always thought it was that bit pricey but picked up some points and finally got this and at 1020 Points( i think) it was a steal!

everything I didn't have except the Splatters, which I have no interest in. Then outwith the sales I got Skullgirls, GGXXACP, All 6 Kinect sports gems and Black Knight Sword

Not that bad but not really played it all that much. I think that the more i get in to it the better it will be. Its no grand theft auto but not that bad

Bully is awesome is my opinion - one of he few I bothered to get 1000G in, and I only bother to do that if it's really easy or just a great game!

Bully is a great game! I had loads of fun maxxing that out! It's full of character!

I got quiet far into bully once and then I accidentally loaded the wrong save and stupidly saved over the right one. Never played it since but I am getting tempted to finally finish it.
