I've decided to resurrect the Book club idea but with a few changes after a stuttered beginning. I'm now going to do this for Indie Games as in general there are a lot of hidden gems there many of which cost only 80MSP and for that amount you've got a choice of a game or Avatar pap and I know what I'd rather choose.

And so to begin with, I've decided to go with DLC Quest. It costs you a mere 80MSP and is a great little game. Without giving too much away the idea is that you've bought the game but you need to buy DLC to get anywhere in it. Yes the whole thing is a dig at the current trend in gaming and no all the DLC is bought using in-game cash you collect.

All I can say is if your a fan of old skool platforming games with a very satirical taste in humour then you will enjoy playing this. It will probably only take a few hours to complete but if you fancy giving it a shot the link is below and don't forget to put down your thoughts about the game. Also any suggestions for next weeks game are welcome, just remember its got to be XBLIG and preferably about 80MSP to purchase.

I'd say feel free to discuss it but try to avoid spoilers unless you use the spoiler option which is the usual square tags round the word spoiler but make suer you change the font colour to black otherwise it won't show!!

Spoiler:

So what did you think Colne. I though it was really cleverly written and quite addictive to play. Once you started I just had to do that little bit more. Plus lots of digs at certain games and their DLC policy such as Oblivion.

Very funny game, gleefully sending up many of the more cynical areas of DLC. Great sense of humour and well worth the price. Even went back through it and finished off all the 'Awardments'.

Thoroughly enjoyed it! I just couldn't put it down once I started. There are some really good ideas in there, and the tomfoolery at the end made me LOL! Anything retro styled like this, I usually enjoy in some part, but marry that with the DLC parody and I was well happy!

Not everyone on the site will enjoy it, but personally, I would like to see a longer version of this kind of thing!

Ah, the second one is out! Knew it was coming but didn't know when. Very Happy

Didn't know about this thread! DLC Quest was actually on my list of games to review, but perhaps I'll put it to the bottom of the pile as everyone has apparently already played it. Razz
