GoW

As I have may have mentioned, I got stuck on this three years ago. Now, is it worth going back to the beginning and starting it again (I still haven't finished level 1, Gods damned berserker is making my life hell ha ha. And I only got 10gp and one cheevo off it!), or should I go straight to GoW2? OR sack it off all together and get SF IV/HAWX/something else fun and brainless?!

I just don't like the idea of a game beating me, y'know? Though in that case Force Unleashed (seriously hard last level) and Fallout 3 (booooring, but I have a good 15hrs game play on it) are in the same bag.

I'm waffling a bit there. Sorry, I'm a bit tired...

Its definitely worth revisiting GOW monders, if you're struggling a bit you should try and get someone to do it on co-op with you.
Even if you can't find someone on ere that'll accompany you it'll be easy enough to find a randomer on live.
Then once you've finished the first one you can straight onto the second one, I envy you in a way having all that gears goodness ahead of you.
Btw I know what you mean about that final boss on the Force Unleashed, took me ages to get past it my patience was seriously tested, the retarded camera angles don't help either.

I shall get back on that Locust busting meat wagon, and kick some scaly ASS! One reason I reckon I sucked so bad was I hadn't played games for a few years prior to getting my 360... and GoW was the first game I played on it. My skill level is much higher so fingers crossed, I'll trounce it this time Also, the AI of Dom in that berserker level is atrocious. You know, on my last attempt at doing the berserker level, he got killed INSTANTLY three times on the bounce! I was f*cking FUMING! *DEEEEP BREATH* But I shall start again, and get some help with that bit ha ha

re TFU: Glad it aint just me! I dropped in to the shuttle bay, then 17 scout walkers, 20 black giant 'droids and close to 600 flying storm troopers with tazers that ALWAYS get you start stamping the Imperial logo in to my noggin. I must have spent a good few hours on that, but to no avail... siiiigh.

Monders ill run through it with ya if ya want im looking to play through it again for the craic!

I'm bobbins at poker... I just can't get my head around the hands. Well frustrating! I like playing though, as it's a good session and I can catch up with my buddies.

i love these games, simon and i went through gears 2 on co-op on insane a few weeks ago and apart from some very frustrating parts it was a good laugh. i envy you monders you have a good story ahead of you.

and i love TFU am considering going through and getting the full 1000 now only got to finish it on the hardest difficulty, should be fun

I admire your perserverance with TFU. I really enjoyed it riiiightup until the last level. Oh, that mushroom one did my swede in a bit too... I kept falling off the f*cker! The Star Destroyer level though, was well worth the three days I invested in it once I brought it down.

I freakin hate the beserkers. I don't think I'd manage to get through on my own, always play co-op with the fella. Were trying to finish all difficulty modes before playing GoW2 currently near the end of hardcore, dread the next level up lol.

I still need to do gears 1. I got a few achievements but got stuck doing hardcore on the bit with the bridge and uv light. gaming rage came over me and i haven't played since. will be up for it tho if needed.

If I had the game and I could get on live I would gladly help all of you out on Gears 1, I completed it on all difficulties and found it to be rather enjoyable, Might pick a copy up just to help you guys and gals out

ive comleted it twice, but ive never went Dom, and ive not completed it on insane yet either.

well i have done all single player achievements on GOW1 so if any of u need a hand just let me know and ill help u out and as some ppl said its rather fun when u play in coop even if its on insane

The bridge is something were defiantly not looking forward to on Insane. We ended up re-trying about 6 times on coop to get through it on hardcore. We were about to give up and decided one more go.

i found hardest mision on insane that 1 with carts and glowing wretches.. everything else was prety ez :p

I'd have to agree with you Angel, the hardest bit on GoW was the mission where you had to go through the mine shafts in the carts, the wretches were the most annoying, but everything else even the Beserkers were so easy to do.

I'm going to pick up a copy of this soon so if anyone needs any help with it let me know, and I will help you out soon as I have got my copy.

lol Easy?!?!?!? on insane?!?!?!? I wish my gaming ability's were as good as yours! I struggle on hardcore They really should have teached gaming in schools! Much more useful than... umm... well there must be a class we all hated and don't see how it applied to their life and job now. Gaming should have been a GSCE!!!

I borrowed a friend's copy and started on Easy and got that all the way up to insane and all the collectibles done within a week, all that's left is the online achieve's for me now, but will gladly help others get achieves as the game is so much fun.

My gaming ability isn't that high though, I just had a lot of free time back then when I did it, lol

haha yea teach gaming in schools... good idea xD anyways difrence between insane and hardcore is rly small :p u just need to take cover more often.. and not rush.. and try using sniper rifle wenewer posible.. it helps alot :p Monkey if u want i can help u with hardcore..

I don't mind playing through this (or GoW2) again with people. I've never played as Dom and I've only played through on Normal (GoW were the first two games I got on xbox and never really re-visited them :p) but I enjoy the campaign mode!

im up for some gow to, not completed the campaign or done any of the multiplayer

Angel - Thanks for the offer might take you up on it at some point as recently me and my fella haven't had a chance to play it together, which means only about halfway through hardcore.

ThomBassmonkey - There's quite a few easy achievements if you play through as Dom.
