The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing (Updated 10/7/12 with Gameplay footage)

Since the Van Helsing film of a few years back, people now see him as kick ass hunter rather than the doddery old guy he was originally written as by Stoker. Well the guys at NeoCore games have kept this new version of Helsing as their main character in the upcoming action RPG The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing (though he's blonde and a little more anime looking from the trailer). The story involves Helsing travelling to the kingdom of Borgovia where unexplainable technology and supernatural creatures are found everywhere and Helsing has been sent to investigate. Promising an immersive story, a memorable set of characters and beautiful gothic artwork this could be a big hit on XBLA, however price and release details have not been confirmed other than Q4 2012. A pre-alpha video of game footage has been put up on Youtube now. My first impressions seems Diablo-esque gameplay with the clusterf**k mentality of Gauntlet!! This looks like it could be quite an intense little arcade game

Looks good. I can't get over that gay hat though. He looks like he's come straight from killing Huckleberry Finn.
