Did you pick up the "Back to Karkand" DLC from Deal of the Week recently? Are you looking to rank up to unlock some better weapons as you work your way towards becoming a Colonel? Or are you just looking to make player's lives a misery as you get in some target practice in preparation for some intense close quarters action? If you're on the grind or just playing for fun, Battlefield soldiers will be happy to know that DICE have revealed the first double XP event for their extremely popular first-person shooter, Battlefield 3.

Double XP will be rewarded at the conclusion of each match and will be added to the player's additional points, everything that earns you points will count for double XP. So besides beasting with a fierce kill-death ratio, be sure to keep the assist, spots, repairs, revives, resupplies consistent and as high-numbered as you can! Players can reap the rewards of double XP from all ranked servers and rented servers too.

Check your ammo and strap your boots on tight as more players will be racing for a seat in tanks and choppers come tomorrow, May 12th. No specific starting or finishing times have been released along with the announcement of the XP event besides the end date of May 13th. Let's not hang around soldiers, get in get your double XP and get out!
