One of my xbox trigger buttons is squeeking when i press it. Would squirting WD40 all around the trigger button be any use or is there another solution to fixing the problem? The squeeking noise happens mostly on driving games when you use the trigger button to control the acceleration of your car.

Use a tiny bit of liquid soap. WD gets everywhere and difficult to remove. Very Happy

If you use WD40 squirt a bit onto a cotton bud and apply it with that. stops you getting too much on, as otherwise it does get everywhere.

yea, tryed a cotton bud with the liquid soap putting it around the trigger and then squeezing it a few times. It seems like its not getting to the problem area. If i go out and buy some WD40 you think that would work better?

Not sure mate, i've used it in the past on a squeaky strum bar on one of my Guitar Hero controllers, but it doesn't last very long.

The pad seems to need a special screwdriver to open it. I just went out and bought some WD40 it seems to have done the trick. Thanks to everyone with their suggestions.
