Xbox live
As a total technological idiot I need help, I just broke my xbox live wire thing (see don't even know the name of the cable, I genuinly got the first one by taking the xbox to game and saying "put this on live please and tell me how much" but I don't want to get screwed over) is there anything wireless I can use? Like a dongle? My hub is like 10 metres away and the wire trails on my floor so innevitably gets chewed by cats... help please? I desperatly need soul caliber online back
Re: Xbox live
This isn't going to be much help, but have you got one of the newer xbox's? they have wireless support, I haven't got one though so hopefully someone else can tell you how to set it up. if you've got an older xbox you'll be best just buying a new ethernet cable because you'll need to buy an xbox network adapter to use a wireless connection.

New ethernet CAT5 cable is cheapest option
Get longer than you need and tack it to your skirting boards

Yes a new ethernet cable is the cheapest option, if your xbox is not one of the newer slimline models. If you have the older style xbox then its either the ethernet cable or a Wireless Adaptor. But these retail at around £40.
As far as i know all the slimline xboxes have wireless built into them.

Re: Xbox live
If you want to go wireless it's probably worth upgrading. For the cost of a network adaptor is so high for what it does. Just trade in your current model for a slim

Ok that should have wireless built into it then, as long as you have a wireless router, it shouldn't be too difficult to set up.
