Could it be an open world multiplayer Forza??

Do you reckon Turn10 are are trying to show Atari how Test Drive 2 should have been done?

Definition of irony: A track based Test Drive game and an open world Forza. oh wait...

This has now been official announced. Not being made by Turn 10 though.....

All the info from E3 including the trailer. AS you may know this is the first open-world version of Forza and the first not developed by Turn 10. However the developers Playground games were founded by the guys who had previously led Codemasters teams behind TOCA, Grid and Dirt and now have members from such development teams as Bizarre Creations (Project Gotham,Blur), Criterion (Burnout), Black Rock (Split/Second, MotoGP), Slightly Mad (Need for Speed:Shift) and Ubisoft Reflections (Driver). So I think its safe to say the series in good hands.

This is the first game which will have multi-surface courses with dirt roads as well as tarmac to play on. It's also planning on leaning towards the action side of racing so expect elements of street racing to appear in the title. I really like Forza, this will be interesting and different so will keep an eye on it. I like any games with open worlds so could be fun!

Certainly gonna be worth a look. Hopefully the new features will make it a little less repetitive than the previous ones!

this does actually look really good. I like the look of the open world and the difference in the other forza games.

If they can keep the car handling and looks, but make the racing a bit more of an action/arcade style. Plus with the open world and different race types, surfaces, lighting conditions etc. Then this could well become one of the greatest 360 racers yet.

Or they could royally fuck up the franchise...

I'm intrigued by this but I am a bit worried about the direction, seems like they are trying to win over all the non fans but in doing so could piss off the people that already love the game, like me

Playing the Demo now and very impressed so far. Had no real interest in this but it's pretty good. Graphics are amazing too

Really impressed by the demo for this something really nice about taking the forza formula and applying it to an open world game can imagine it being awesome once you start to build up some cars and get online, reminded me a bit of the dirt games too in presentation I saw in a dev diary that a lot of ex code masters racing employees are working on it but the presentation in some areas is almost exactly the same!

Played the Demo a bit last night, and its pretty slick.

I enjoyed the demo, but the handling seemed a little loose for my liking. I still might pick it up at some point because it reminded me of Burnout Paradise, it's just a shame that you get so little time to claim the bonus Dodge Viper for playing the demo.

I agree 100% with the bonus car. I probably won't get this until Xmas...so I'm gonna have to find a place to rent it so I can claim my car lol.

Handling was more realistic then NFS, but definetly did not feel Forza though. Still loved it and want it

Brilliant!! It really had a good quality to to it a cross between Burnout Paradise and NFS but just 'better'!!!

The music is really good and current too!

Really looking forward to this now, hopefully gonna try and pick it up around the release date.

Anyone know if this is gonna have an online pass to play multiplayer?. I know there's a season pass coming and can't find anything about it online so hopefully doesn't have one. Only gonna rent this but might keep it a while depending on how many GSA nights get set up
