For those who don't know Telltale Games (Sam and Max, Monkey Island, Wallace and Gromit) are working on an episodic series based on The Walking Dead. It's a new story, with new characters, set in the same universe of the comics and although it hasn't been confirmed for XBLA, episode 1 is coming some time in the spring to 'all major gaming platforms' so we'll more than likely see it on 360.

With all that in mind, I bring you the first edition of Playing Dead.....

Are you attempting to feel my wrath!?! None shall speak ill of point 'n' clicks. People stopped playing them only because they got dumber, it takes a certain level of being to figure out how to use a rubber chicken with a pulley in it!!

I like a point and click. Sometimes it's nice to have something at a slower place, exploring every nook and cranny so you don't miss anything Very Happy

Are Telltale games known for making point and click games or something? because I've never actually heard of them. I was looking forward to this but if it turns out to be point and click I'll probably give it a miss because I've never really been a fan of those kind of games.

Like I said in my original post mate, they're known for the two Sam and Max games and the four episodes of Wallace and Gromit on XBLA. All of which were point and click games. They also did the Back to the Future series on PS3 and Jurassic Park, which made it to 360 in the US, but not in Europe. That one played kind of like an interactive movie along the lines of Heavy Rain. I don't think they've actually gone into much detail about how the Walking Dead will actually play.

I'll have to look at some video's on youtube because I've never actually seen anything of those games. I said I'm not really a fan of point and click but to be honest I've never really played many point and click games so it's possible that I've only played some really awful ones lol. I'll keep an eye on this and see where it goes, hopefully it will turn out to be an interesting game.

This is now rumoured to be releasing next week. It's not listed as next Wednesday's release, so chances are it will come out next Friday. Also....after the first episode, the remaining five will be released as DLC, so instead of 5 seperate titles on your card, it will be just one. Assuming it'll mean 1000 gamerscore with each episode getting 200 points.

Here is some actual gameplay.

Truly looks like a slow time event instead of a quick time event.

I stand by my view that this will be a right snorefest.

You may aswell just go read the comics.
