Guns Being Banned from XBLA

Dont worry it's not guns in games that are being banned but guns for your avatars of all things. Any gun like items including Gears lancers will be removed from the avatar marketplace come January 1st though people who have already bought them will be able to use them still.

So time to get buying if you want your guns for your avatar ....

Man PC has just gone too far. I have my lancer and it looks great on my Avatar

They always find some way to annoy people!!, not bothered personally but PC is getting silly!!

Think I will pick up a lancer now... More for the rarity value

Could be a careful marketing ploy.
Say you're gonna ban them, people buy them while they can and then somewhere down the line announce "We realised it's silly to ban them so they're now back"
Exclusivity, or at least the prospect of it, will get a lot of people to buy them.

Then again, I could just be cynical.

The only Avatar item i've paid for was my stormtrooper outfit (since i can't afford to buy myself a real one).

Won't be rushing out to buy a gun for my avatar, but i agree its a bit silly really. The PC brigade really do my head in.

They look pretty sweet, but still have a hefty price tag ($1100). I once saw a guy at a motorbike rally with a set of custom painted leathers that looked like stormtrooper armour to go with his custom lid.
