Regular Themed Nights

I hope I havn't crossed a line here as its not my forum but I was wondering if anyone else thinks its a good idea to host regular themed nights, ie Monday night FPS Night (Halo, GOW, COD etc), Tuesday Racing Night (Blur Forza etc), and do this weekly?

I think it will help everyone to get to know each other better and gaming habbits.

So what you think? Would you participate in regular themed nights if they were put in place?

To be honest it's been common practice for awhile but has died down a bit near Christmas. Monday tends to be racing, Wednesday Assassins Creed and Tuesday / Thursday shooters like Halo / Battlefield.

It would be awesome to have more nights hosted within the forum as there tends to just be a hardcore few of us hosting events (mainly myself, Riled Assassin and Tenlo).

But the most important thing is getting people to participate in the nights as well.

Maybe some kind of points system for gaming nights where a host gets X amount of points and participants Y amount of points and a monthly prize for the most active gamers would help the situation

Oh ok, didnt know that, I just noticed it once a while back with Blur and thought was a good idea

Aye I've tried to keep a regular themed night for awhile, usually tuesdays as I'm usually not working. The problem is true about getting interest. Maybe we should find out what sort of games people would be interested in playing regularly and work that way round rather than guessing at which games are going to work.

I'm always up for some multiplayer action, and would love to get involved with the community players, feel free to add me or invite, I will keep my eye open here for definate nights set up.

Is assasins creed brotherhood nights still running? I've had to go on the downlow since frankie was born and my gaming is only really late at night when most people are doing there own thing or offline. Playing with you guys would make life a little eaiser as the online community has died off quite a bit, and I could maybe swing it so i have a gaming night, once in a blue moon.

Actually I've began discussion with Kent about this. At the moment it is a small number of us hosting nights and they are a reasonable success. But if we can get people volunteering to help run nights as well it'll be great. Kent has volunteered to hold Dead Island and Dungeon Seige 3 nights. I'll set up a thread for people to volunteer to host nights and hopefully we'll start getting new sessions up all over the place!!
