metal gear solid collection has 2000gs

might be old news but worth mentioning the metal gear solid collection is being shipped on 2 discs first disc has mgs2 and mgs3 for 1000gs [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and the second disc has peace walker for another 1000gs [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] 2000gs not bad for budget title even if we have to wait for next year to get it.

I am tempted by this series as I have never played any of these games before.

Hard games if I remember rightly! I bet the cheevs are hardcore!

achievements are rock hard looks like mgs2 is a least 5 playthroughs and mgs3 is at least 2 about 80 hours for the 1k and the road map puts it at 8.5/10 for difficulty not sure about peace walker

Only hard achievements to me look like the dog tags (If I remember you have to play on extreme difficultly for them all) and the Kerotan Frogs from MGS3 (Not that hard but theres a couple during a 'rail shooter' sequence that are annoying to get). King of the Jungle is just time consuming and trying to remember where every animal is.

I can't believe I have to wait till Feb now I've never played Peace Walker and really want to replay MGS3.

Its not that bad Kent, if you played Splinter Cell its not as stealthy as that and in MGS you can always resort to guns. Although a warning is that they are very cutscene heavy games.

Amazing package if true. Never really played a Metal Gear game before......gonna be all over this come February.

Yea it does contain the original NES games...

And as for the dog tags, you have to do it on all 5 difficulties (there's either 200 or 300 dog tags in all) from one vid I've been watching...)

Are the NES games confirmed for UK and Europe now too? When it first got announced they seemed to be hinting that they were gonna be for the Japanese release only?

I hope we get them here too, that makes a great collection even better. A HD port of the Twin Snakes would have made it perfect.

I now have a review copy of this and can confirm it include 5 games.

But only 3 of them include achieves and they show as 2 seperate lists of 1000 on your tag.
