Suggestions for Mango Review

As I've hinted at recently I'm about to undertake a huge review of all the new features hidden away in the Mango update. However although I'm good at finding all sorts of gubbins lurking away, I'm more than likely going to miss a few along the way. By now most of us are pretty good with the new update so if there are any particular features that you want to make sure I cover in the review send me a PM detailing them and I'll make sure its in there with credit given to whoever points out. So please anything you love about the new update let me know. I'll give it till Saturday and then I'll start writing the review so there is a dead line for anything you want to add!!

I might have missed the boat on this, but can you give us an insight on how we create our own ringtones?

Right I've decided to put a small section in each of the WP7 updates each week rather than one big post. But I'll make sure I cover the ringtones in this weeks one. I understand the method already I'm just trying to find a decent program to upload the files to zune at the moment.

Edit: I finally found a reasonably easy program so I'll put up the update today and I'll include a tutorial with all the needed links as well.

Is there a way to do this with out using the Zune PC software? I won't have any acsess to a PC after Christmas.

If you want to create your own you'll need some access to Zune. There is a free app called Myxer though which you can use to download tones to your phone which Kimnad4it posted about. It's all free and that might keep you going till you get pc access.

There'll probably be a slow dribble of ringtone apps coming from now on.
I managed to find two that offer all free ringtones that you just save from the app menu and they're instantly installed in your ringtones library on your phone. No Need for any PC access. The two I found were a Star Wars one and a Star Trek one. The Cantina song from Episode 4 makes an excellent ringtone.

My pleasure Minkey If I come across anymore I'll let you know. Now we're able to use custom tones we'll hopefully be inundated with them.

After downloading the two apps named "Free Ringtones" had to get both as I didn't know which one you meant, I now have ringtones for Hawaii five o, Mortal Kombat, Blade, Strength of the Righteous from The Untouchables and the Halo theme < < < sounds awesome
