New Team Compo

After the success of the last compo, I am thinking of running another but with a slight variation

I think that it would be better run over only 3 days so we can make it a Friday/Sat/Sun thang. This will allow folks working to have a chance to play to the full too and will keep it more focussed.

I am also thinking it might be good to run it on a Team basis for a bit of us vs them rivalry and ribbing etc!


So we could run two or more teams and get the battle commenced some time in July if anyone is interested

My thoughts would be maybe to have a North vs Sarf battle or folks could select team captains and the captains could then pick their sides from all the entrants the same way we all used to pick sides for footy at skewl lol


Any thoughts/interest?

I'll be up for this, give me a chance to clear some more XBLA titles. Only thing I'd be worried about is being the last to be picked just like in school!!

Or teams could be picked at random out of a hat. (stops me getting picked last like i was at schooll).

Sounds like a good idea, and the North Sarth could be good, but we'd have to agree on where the boundary lies!

Or boundaries if we had North, South and Midlands. Then of course there's our Irish/Welsh/Scottish and overseas members.

We could also have an Irish, Scots and Welsh team.

Then a mixed gender/trans gender/ladyboy team for Niteowl to captain

i like the idea of the compo but i cant really do this one as it clashes with my part time job i work all day sunday so cant commit my time really.

Sounds good though but as a little idea how about say a round knockout Football stylee

Teams get drawn to play each other at random and the winners go through?

I dont think there is enough of us for a Welsh team is there? How about the younglings (18-29) vs the oldies (30+) ?

I will start collating names etc soon and don't worry too much if the numbers in each sector are not even as we can always run it per head

I had a thought. I wondered if it might be a good idea to reward difficult achievements, perhaps a spot prize for the toughest achievement earned during the competition or extra points for the team.

I live in the Midlands which according to many isn't north or south. So looks like I'm in my own team....all by myself
