Right after all that typing, I'll leave it up to you guys to discuss any surprises or dissapointments and more importantly has nayoen heard of nay of the ones to watch before!!!! I'm going to put my hands in some ice!!

Heavy Rain sucked teh balls imho

I really wanted to like it but it proved to be nothing short of a nice bit of FMV where you do next to sod all.

As always these awards seemed to be given to the games that the companies want to big up

I would imagine that large sums of cash are probably a deciding factor

Interestingly enough, I found out while listening to a podcast that companies have to nominate their games to be included hence why Red Dead is only in the people's choice award

I am a bit gutted that LIMBO wasnt recognised with an award, It was one of my fav games last year, Truley original and Groundbreaking in my opinion.

How they created such affection for the main Character without words was amazing and how they created atmosphere with nothing but music and a black and white colour scheme was brilliant and deserved an award.

I think Halo: Reach and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 deserved to win something. Glad to see Mass Effect 2 won best game though.
