crazy taxi rumours are true

Classic Dreamcast titles are returning with new features and in High Definition, Sega has announced.

Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi will be the first two titles out of the blocks and will be available digitally on XBLA and PSN this Autumn.

Dreamcast was launched in 1999 and has a software library of over 650. Classic Sega Dreamcast games include Shenmue, Jet Set Radio, Seaman, Phantasy Star Online, Samba de Amigo, Space Channel 5, Powerstone and Skies of Arcadia.

“The Dreamcast is fondly remembered by a large community of dedicated fans as a console that was ahead of its time in terms of graphics, quality and online gaming” commented Sega West VP of digital business Haruki Satomi.

“There are few things that are more requested from us than making Dreamcast classics available for download in today’s digital market place. We’re very excited to begin offering gamers our beloved Dreamcast titles again on the current console systems."

Shenmue and Jet Set Radio are 2 of my favourite games and i loved the dreamcast i cant wait i will probably get all the games they release.

i cant wait, not only to play Shenmue again but hopefully see how the saga ended, anyone who played the first will know at the end he sails off into the sunset to continue the search for his fathers killer in Hong Kong. I never played the second so hope they release that too.

It was most peoples first dabble with online, although i dont think i ever actually played any games i do remember using it to surf the internet, i still have my Dreamcast Keyboard.

If memory serves me correctly the second Shenmu had a few loose ends and the community is desperate for a 3rd and final part. Crazy Taxi was awesome cant wait for a HD version the Dreamcast had some amazing games lets hope they do them justice.

Dreamcast is and was awesome

As a retro game and console hoarder it holds a definate place of honour in my collection.

Shame Sega got caught out with bad timing of its release coupled with the backlash of how shite the Saturn was.

The DC was the best hardware of its generation and it had some great add ons too.

Lets hope the conversions of some of its A list titles are done well as I think they would rock on XBLA

the dreamcast was a great console and i had one until last year when i sold it on i had the rumble packs visual memory units all sorts of mad shit for it.

one of the best consoles for me and can still get them on ebay for around fifty quidish

god i remember having a dream cast. crazy taxi was well addictive. i remember picking up ppl under water wearing scuba outfits

I too still have my good old Dreamcast and plenty of games. It's a magic little console. I'll certainly be snapping up a few of these on xbla. (Except Sega Bass Fishing)! Let's hope we don't see that one.

Incidentally, for all Shenmue fans.........Shenmue II is available for the original Xbox, and is 360 compatible.
