Dynasty Warriors
Hi everyone
I'm thinking of buying a Dynasty Warriors game, but I'm a bit confused. What's the difference between the ordinary versions and the empires versions, is it just an extra mode or are they completely different game. They all seem to have different achievements too.
Please help

They're spelt differently.
E_M_P_I_R_E and O_R_D_I_N_A_R_Y.... see?
Hope this has helped, leave a tip on the way out.
A quick search on Google brings up so many small diffences between those two games that I just completely lost interest in trying to help you out seriously. Soz.
Apparently Empire has got more to do with conquering the whole of China or summink like that...

Re: Dynasty Warriors
The best one to start with is Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires as its oldest and cheapest and easiest.
Dynasty warriors 6 is very hard even on easy mode unless you have 2 of you playing co-op then its easy.
Co-op mode is awesome in all warriors games, but its only offline only, so you need a real life bud or try and teach your mum/girlfriend to play
Samurai warriors games are also must buy and a tad easier than dynasty warriors.
Then there are the warriors Orochi games, also awesome and great storyline.
Just start with the oldest and cheapest ones first as they dont change much game to game.
They are the marmite of all games, I LOVE THEM, some hate them.
Its hack and slash and you sometimes kill upto 1000 enemies per level..
Take out the gate captains so the troops cant keep respawning is the main tip.
AWESOME series, weeks of fun as there must be about 10 different titles out now.

Re: Dynasty Warriors
I played no. 5 and I was really looking forward to it, but to be honest I just couldnt get to grips with it at all, gave up after a while. I see so many people with 1000/1000 for that game as well, but I think I didnt even break 50gs.
I wonder Kent: is practise and experience a key or a good sense of strategy in terms of troop placement and attack patterns etc.

Re: Dynasty Warriors
The key is take out the gate captains if poss as they stop respawns.
Also focus on ONLY killing the enemy generals not the troops.
Finally listen to what your allies and generals tell you as sometimes you need to sprint across the map to save someone or defend your own base.
Thats why with 2 players all warriors games become a breeze as you can cover the whole map easily.
Its still very much a button basher hack and slash game.
ALWAYS PLAY ON EASY.
