GSA Challenge
Here at GSA we try to be welcoming and cheerful but sometimes the urge to block people out and whore points is just too much, lol
So here's where I come in
It's challenge time
I thought we could have 2 challenges running side by side
Challenge 1: Reach a score increase of 2000g's or more in 1 week without playing any easy 1000g games
Challenge 2: 1 game is to be played by the non score whores that will be agreed upon by the entrants [or admin]
and the winner shall be whomever gets the furthest through in the shortest time
If your interested please reply below and state which challenge you want to do, also note if you pick challenge 2 please list a game you have not played that is not easy completion. Also note with challenge 1 you need to inform admin of your score before the challenge begins and after it has ended.
Thankyou and happy gaming

Re: GSA Challenge
2000g's is a little optimistic for those of us who have full time jobs and have to be up at stupid o'clock in the morning to get to work! I've had my Xbox since xmas and have played as often as i can since March and only got 6400!
Also what do you class as easy 1000g games apart from Avatar and Lost etc.
Sorry to pick holes hun, nice idea just think 2000g's is very optimistic!

No you are indeed quite right, 2000g's may well be a bit optismistic but it's what I like to call a challenge, if more than 5 people challenge the score to achieve in 1 week then it shall be reduced to meet the criteria of all applicants to the challenge, In the meantime however if you or any other member of the forum have any other idea's which could be implemented into a challenge please post up your ideas.

Re: GSA Challenge
how are you going to quantify an "easy game". a game might be consider easy for someone whilst nie on impossible to others?

Re: GSA Challenge
Ok, personally I think get rid of the time limit, it will also make it easier to see who wins. First person to increase their score by 2000 points!
With regards to easy games I would say definately not any on the under 5 hours list on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and maybe even those on the 5-10 hour list.
There are also some games where you can get an obscene number of points from just one playthrough but these may have to be included or we can go on forever just deciding what games not to play.

Re: GSA Challenge
The easiest way to do a challenge like this is to choose a game thats not released yet. For example 'shift', whoever is getting the game on day of release and is interested in the challenge sign up. A time scale is set of a week and whoever gets the highest score wins, or the first to 1000 if its an easy kind of game. Scores are taken down by one person so that no cheating happens. If you hit 1000 before the week is up, its the first person so post the score and have it confirmed by admin.
Thats just my idea, otherwise people will have different opinions on what is considered an easy 1000 g's.

Re: GSA Challenge
some great idea's here and I like all of them, ok to avoid all easy 1000g games I think basically if it takes less than 3 days to complete the game with all achievements for someone who works days then it can be classed as easy. That sound better, and yes The removal of a time limit does seem to include more potential members to join in, I also really like Lance's idea of a brand new game and whomever amassess the most points on it within a set time should be declared the winner, Time for the admin to have their say as they will be the one's to declare the winner and verify the score to ensure there is no unfair wins.

Re: GSA Challenge
Lance's Idea is the best one so far.
Lets see if it flies or not.
For me to offer a prize game you will need alot of people signing up for this.
as the Prize cupboard is ever shrinking and we need to be sure to cover Member of the month.
