Avatar clothing poll

I think that making us pay for a flumping avatar t-shirt is a crime and we should all boycott the new paid additions and only use the new free unlockable stuff from games.

Splosion man has the first free unlockable avatar stuff and we should buy that instead.

What do you guys think??

Would a Boba Fett helmet make you splash the cash??

I wouldn't pay for avatar clothing, I can think of better things to spend my pennies on! I do like the thought of being able to unlock it through games though.

It all depends. I'm not a label whore as such, but if there was a nice pair of retro adidas sneeks, or a classy Lyle and Scott collared tshirt then just maybe. But I wouldn't want to pay more than 50p for each.

I'd much rather unlock game specific clothing though. My avatar would look top in Issac's Dead Space suit.

I'm not going to waste my money on t-shirts and other stuff for my avatar, but like other people have said I do like the idea of unlocking stuff from games.

i quite like the idea of making my avatar a little more unique with new clothes and stuff, but dont fancy paying the prices that i think m$ will charge.

i really love the thought of winning clothes from my games, hopefully they will add some to past games like gow, i would love a carmine suit. and i would a few star wars inspired outfits.

You have always made your feelings on this matter abundantly clear mate, but I stand by my decision, if something is deffo worth while I will purchase it without hesitation, As you all know though it is very rare that I spend my points on anything unless it's something that's going to take off massively within the forum, This is a topic that could turn out to be a bad omen for the forum me thinks, lol

It depends on various factors.

I have paid 50MS or whatever it was for the picture pack I use for my gamer pic and haven't regretted it. I may end up buying clothes for my av too.

Remember, that with the amount of avatar games around and coming out soon, do you really want to be wearing exactly the same clothes as 95% of other people? It'd be worth the 150MS just to look different. With the amount of people complaining, it wouldn't surprise me to see them dropped to 100MS or something anyway.

My humour is quite dark and I am quite sarcastic, prob doesn't read as amusingly as I mean it too.

To be clear, I like the idea of unlocking stuff for free, but wish it was gamerpics or themes instead.

I have bought many different gamerpics in the past, just hate my little man because they are so like mii's
I want an avatar that is not even human etc, abit more unique.

150 POINTS!!! Holy smoke! Didn't think it would be that much! If stuff was only going to cost 20 points or something then I would buy a couple of things, because when I only have 100 points left I can't exactly get anything else..

during one of the preview videos floating about the guy looks through alot of the clothing and prices range from 80 points for t-shirts and go up to 320 points for other items including the rc car, those were amarican prices not sure if they will be cheaper for the uk, i doubt it.

OK I can confirm I have the new dashboard update and the prices are exactly the same on our update as they are for the americans, the RC car is still 320 points and the clothes are still ranging from 80msp upwards.

Also, whilst this has come about.. everyone knows that there are cheaper ways to buy points than through the xbox itself don't they?
you can find em cheaper through special offers that come about from shops occassionally, and also they're not region locked, so its also possible to buy from when america has them cheap (this also includes Live subscriptions)

As an example.. last lot of points I bought, xbox dashboard had 2100 points for £17.85, but instead was able to buy from zavvi cheaper for 13 quid.

Won't be spending my money on clothes for my avatar, just like I didn't spend money on different themes and gamerpics. I couldn't care less about what my avatar is wearing most of the time, although I do occasionally jazz him up a bit. If I unlock some cool clothing from playing thru games, I'll probably use it, but I don't see myself paying for it otherwise.

It's the same as Home is on the The Big Black Dust Collector that plays DVD's. My friend spent REAL money on clothes for his avatar, and you can also spend it on furniture etc for their virtual house. It's madness!

im quite happy with my little man tbh cos he looks just like me lol!!! not keen on paying for clothes unless its something totally different and unique.

... and yeah creature based avatars would be wicked!!!!

I think about the only thing that would make me spend points on an avatar costume would be if it turned it into a really decent looking zombie... other than that they'd have to pull off something spectacular for me to consider it. Its a bit of a cheek really isnt it. Though I do like the idea of free ones from games.. such as the ghostbusters game? Why not add a little proton pack option for your avatar?
