Nintendo's first foray into smartphone apps launches on Thursday with Miitomo & to use it you can pre-register to use it. The fact that Nintendo is doing this surprises me as I've always seem them as a console manufacturer & game creator. What do you think?

Yes it seems to be. If it appears on Windows phone is yet to happen.
