Crush 40 who have songs in various games replied to fans on Facebook (and later deleted),

We are planning a few performances for 2016 to commemorate the anniversary of Sonic. We “might” participate in writing new songs for the anniversary game…stay tuned…

Just what will this anniversary game be? It could be anything from fan wanted Sonic 3 remake, Sonic Generations 2 (my personal favourite) or just another Sonic Dash on mobile.

Are you a fan of the blue blur? What do you hope the Anniversary game will be? Could it help Sonic return to grace after the disaster of Boom?
