There is a trial of Rise of the Tomb Raider

Like it says on the title. There is a trial for Rise of the Tomb Raider. It is 20.8 GB to download. Don't look it in the demo section cause its not a demo. I am still not sure how this trial works. Is it 1 hour of playtime or do you stopped playing at a certain point ? Still never played a trial apart from that Ark: Evolved. I don't even know you can get achievements through trials?

A quick search of this tinterweb thingamajig, would suggest that you get to complete the first tomb, which apparently equates to approx 2% of the overall completion. And your progress does carry into the full game.

I'm downloading it now, so if and when I get a chance to play it I'll let you know.

I have downloaded it. Not had a chance to play it yet. Thought I let people know about this trial, I only found out about the trial by accident.

Cool. Wouldn't mind trying it out but I can't be arsed deleting any more stuff to make the room. Lol. Gta V is already asking me to find 50gig space for an update. Could do with an external drive Santa if you're listening!

Actually I'm pretty certain I'm getting it for xmas off my mother in law anyway. But I've wanted to play it since release, as I really enjoyed the first one. And on the other hand downloading it now will drastically reduce the install time when I do get my actual copy.

Apologies for the double post, but I can now confirm that the Free Trial lasts approximately half an hour. It takes you through the intro and onto the first Tomb, and ends when you escape.

As someone who was really looking forward to playing it, I did really enjoy it, even it is a bit short. But just like the previous game, the intro looks superb and really draws you into the atmosphere. As well as obviously steering you through a bit of a tutorial.

I am now looking forward to playing it properly all the more.

Thanks for the update Tricky34, I was kinda hoping it would last a little longer. I've downloaded it, just not played it yet. I will pick this up in the new year has new games are normally dry in the beginning of the year.

It's worth picking up in the sale.

Bought this when it came out but hadn't really touched it until a couple of days ago and I'm loving it. Can't believe I waited so long to play it.

New Endurance mode will give it a different feel and add a nice challenge with introducing starvation and the cold as enemies.

Looking forward to giving that mode a go when I've finished the story.

I'm really enjoying it all too, just as much as I did the previous one. Looking forward to trying out the other modes later, rather than the multiplayer that was in the last one.
