Need For Speed 2015 Mini Review
I tried the new NFS with the weeks trial via EA Access and...oh my god just awful! After a 5 minute cutscene featuring some of the most annoying American half-wits you could imagine prattling on about some club I had to go to because it is "da bomb man!" (he actually used a naughtier word in place of bomb but this is a family show) which was unskippable might I add I then drove to said club which took under a minute.
Um some of the worst driving Ive ever seen in a racing game and one of the first games in many years where it looked like the scenery was moving while the car stayed stationary...really! Couple that with the worst handling I think Ive ever encountered and a bland lifeless city which makes the one in Watch Dogs look interesting.
I get there and oh it tells me to press RB to enter "the club man" only I cant because the game has glitched (not even a club in sight either just a big purple arrow with a house symbol on it in the middle of an empty car park). Can I start from a checkpoint? Can I buggery.
Restart endure the 5 minute cutscene again and do my one minute of wonky driving and yay Im in da club bro! Followed by a 20 minute unskippable cutscene of more annoying American numpties dancing to rubbish rave music...well Im guessing 20 I switched off after 10 so Im guessing at least another 10 to explain what I had to do next because all I'd seen was a bunch of eedjits dancing about with glow sticks like its bloody 1995 . Not even any fit women among the raved up masses neither to at least distract me while the cutscene played out.
Overall I'd give Need For Speed whatever number they're up to now a rating of: AVOID LIKE THE BLOODY PLAGUE

Re: Need For Speed 2015 Mini Review
Hilarious!
I am looking forward to this game and will hopefully be doing the official review.
SO, you didn't keep racing to see if things got better? Just did the one minute?

It was bloody awful yeah that's all it lasted after listening to all that rubbish. I might try it again if Ive time to be honest been too busy playing Halo 5 loving that! Love my Halo I do! Finished campaign on Heroic and immediately started a 100% Intel and skulls play through on Legendary! Game of the generation for me mate! Loving multi too matchmaking easily best Ive seen had loads of tight closely contested matches (well now that Im rank I am before I was usual numpties but once match making kicked in, had to do about 10 matches think it was to get a rank, it is excellent been paired up with equal skilled people who want to play as a team and objectives. New Breakout mode is outstanding and loving Warzone too but be better now I'm ranked as haven't done a ranked match yet.

Re: Need For Speed 2015 Mini Review
Got to disagree,
Played bout an hour so far and enjoying it very arcade racer back to the underground days graphics are very good being frostbite engine. The handling needs adjusting to your driving style drifting is easy if you slide it all the way. Probably won't get at launch dur to money. But will get on sale or when it comes to access.
Tuning is semi fun seeing what you can tweak etc. The first card is terrible though, I went for the Subaru brz as my car. Will try for a small gameplay video soon maybe tomorrow.

Re: Need For Speed 2015 Mini Review
To be honest all the daft American rave cutscenes and stuff put me off so I went in with a neg attitude towards the game. Don't think its for me personally and not buying it this year anyway. Personally more looking forward to Sebastien Loeb Rally end of Jan. Don't think I'll bother buying this and will prob get via EA Access Spring/Summer next year so it can wait til then but wasn't impressed.

Re: Need For Speed 2015 Mini Review
Here's my original adult version of my mini review I posted in the Digitiser Gamers and Geeks group on Facebook lol!
I tried the new NFS with the weeks trial via EA Access and...oh my god just awful! Followed by a 20 minute unskippable cutscene of more annoying American douchebags dancing to shite rave music...well Im guessing 20 I switched off after ten so Im guessing at least another 10 because all I'd seen was a bunch of arseholes dancing about with glow sticks like its fucking 1995 . Not even a fit bird among the raved up slappers neither.
Overall I'd give Need For Speed whatever number they're up to now a rating of: AVOID LIKE THE FUCKING PLAGUE

Re: Need For Speed 2015 Mini Review
Martin, please stop triple and double posting dude.
Its fine if others post in between, but posting then posting again one minute later is not needed as you can just edit the last post.
We are super easy going here, but in this thread alone you have multiple doubles and a triple all within a minute or so

Sorry but don't think I can edit on my phone pal and sometimes think of other things I want to say after original post.
