Limbo Mini Review
Name of Game: Limbo
System: Xbox 360/ Xbox One
Style of Game: Puzzle platformer
Graphics Quality: Superb sillouhetted, black and white, minimalist, shadowy, creepy and very stylish.
Sound Quality: Superb. No dialogue just superb use of ambient, atmosphere inducing sound.
Difficulty: Not too difficult at all, but getting the achievement for five or fewer deaths is pretty tough.
Ach points: As mentioned above, there is one tough cheev. The others are easy, particularly if you use a guide for the collectibles which you may well need!
As Xbox One early adopters are getting this game for free at the moment, I thought this would be a good time to do a Mini for it. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has said that we are getting this game because it is an absolute must play and I totally agree.
Limbo is a modern classic and closes the gap between games and Art. Stunning stylish visuals, gruesome deaths and superb sound make for a fantastic atmosphere. The puzzles are absolutely superb and are beautifully crafted. They are not too difficult as to provide frustration, but you feel a sense of satisfaction from figuring them out. There are no dead ends and red herrings to frustrate. It's a game that you could load up for novices or non gamers to marvel at and play.
The controls are tight and although not a long game, I find it just right.
The Xbox one version is even more lovely than the previous gen with improved frame-rates and clarity, although you could argue that you lose a touch of atmosphere as the 360 version seems to have a more grainy noir look to it, but the sound seems slightly enhanced on the bone.
A superb experience. Not to be missed. 9 out of 10.

Nice mini!
Is it the same achievement list as the 360, but with higher point values to make up to 1000G?

Almost. There's one extra cheev worth 100gs in the bone version. It's a secret cheev so I wont reveal the details.

I can now confirm that the Xbox One version of Limbo runs in 1080p at 60 fps.
