Destiny now available as a free trial

Haven't played Activision's $500 million investment yet? Here's your chance to get it for zero monies on Xbox One and Xbox 360, where you'll be able to sample character creation, progression and more, with the option to upgrade to the final version.

It's available right now from the Xbox One dashboard, and you can go the Xbox marketplace to download it for Xbox 360. The trial goes for a while too, as Activision's set an end date of January 16th, 2015 for the Xbox 360 version, while Guardians on Xbox One will be able to play this until a yet-to-be-determined date.

So, what do you get for free? There's the aforementioned character creation and progression, story mission content, and can get your mates involved with cooperative and social activities. You'll need 40GB of disk space on Xbox One, and 6GB of disk space for Xbox 360. Bungie's also said that you'll need an internal hard drive to play the trial - Xbox 360 owners, that means USB flash drives won't be supported.
