Max Payne 3 Mini Review
Name of Game: Max Payne 3
System: Xbox 360
Style of Game: Third person shooter
Graphics Quality: Very impressive, especially as it's 2 and a half years old now!
Sound Quality: Great - atmospheric and fantastic moody voice work to match the first two games.
Difficulty: Easy setting provides a nice comfy, enjoyable run through of the game, but there are multiple hard settings for those who like a challenge.
Ach points: I suspect quite hard to complete. Multiple playthroughs at different difficulties, and a slew of online achievements too.
Brief Thoughts: Players of Max Payne 1 & 2 will definitely benefit from the story more than those who haven't played it, but it can certainly still be played as a starting point to the series. The game is engaging - I lost my gaming mojo a bit this past summer but Max Payne 3 had me enthralled, and I got through the entire game in just three days, with some hefty play sessions. Even my girlfriend enjoyed watching it as I played for the storyline.
In this game we find ourselves following Max some years after the events of the first two games. Max is still a pill popping drunk, but has somehow fallen into a career being a bodyguard to the rich. Without spoiling anything, Max finds himself dragged into yet another series of adventures where things spiral out of control. The entire game is once again narrated by Max making for a intriguing insight into the develop of his character over the years. This is a truly fantastic game, and if you've missed this one you should definitely make a special effort to pick this up - it's literally a fiver everywhere now anyway! I haven't even tried the multiplayer, but to be honest I felt I had more than my money's worth with just the single player.
Overall Score: 9/10

Nice work mate. I have all three of the games but haven't gotten round to playing this properly yet! It looks great though.

Re: Max Payne 3 Mini Review
Does look good, but the achieves are way too long and grinding for me sadly.
Can't have another game stuck on 100G or less forever

Yep you should give the game a whirl. Haven't looked at the MP achieves so don't know how many are boostable, but yeah we can do some if you fancy it. I have a few codes for the Cemetery map too so you can have one of those if you want as well. Think it's only 79p regularly, but it's yours if you want it.Everton wrote:cool

I think I only got about 165G for my whole run through of the campaign. And if you want to fully complete it, I've just had a look and there are 4 DLC packs with achievements tied to them, so it could be fairly expensive.KENT HAMMER wrote:Does look good, but the achieves are way too long and grinding for me sadly.
