XOne XBox One or Bone initial thoughts

Well just unpacked mine and after pulling out 20 million cables from the other billionty sets of tech under the telly, I have now got the Bone in and running

First thoughts are as follows

Some unknown reason behind taping up all the bags in the box which meant having to cut stuff to get it open

After that plugging it in I found it would not accept one of my existing HDMI cables but was fine when I plopped in the one in the box

Set up is sweet. Dead easy. It loads up, grabs the update, festers for 5 mins then bang its running and you are inputting your Live account details.

Once you have it on properly it seems very much 360 ey. The dash is similar but more compact and after some trawling round it all seems very easy to use

Then I thought I would like to see a game in action. Now I wont bother with the Fifa game as I just don't use them, but I went to the store section with the intention of treating myself to a title.

So I switched it off. I will go again when I have bought the discs at a price that is not highway robbery.

One point to note is that if you have the sad situation whereby you keep getting twats FR you then these trolls appear as viewers or summat on your list. There is an option to block the scroats but having to do that individually is a pita

So in a nutshell, its very nice, almost silent, nicely presented, excellent set up and great to see M$ setting up enough servers to keep LIVe alive. It needs a hefty update but that's the norm these days and unlike the dorks at Ninty it is only 10 mins with broadband. But someone needs to take a shitty stick and beat these thieves in the bollocks for this absolutely corrupt game pricing structure they have launched with

Great tech but nowt to play as I will not fork out a ton fifty for 2 mediocre games

Next year these next gens will rock when the games are there and the shops get us proper copies at reasonable costs. Until then mine will be watching me play the 360 and PS3

I must say i was seriously considering getting one after seeing all my mates and guys on here posting and tweeting about them, but, now after reading the last few posts on here about game prices and microtransactions I am definately giving it a miss untill a later date! It just makes you feel cheated a little, promised the world, then kicked in the bollocks with a small print shaped steel toe-cap hob-nail boot!!

I reckon had there been a dozen launch titles then we would have seen the 39.99 price point

but with just 5 of any note they have taken the chance to fleece the public



well at least I get a game I can play and like with the pissy4 next week

I hope the console sets itself up as smoothly as the bone because m$ have made it sweet to install

Nobody buys from the dash store.

I bought DR3 for £40 from game today and got forza free, so well happy.

On the ps3 store today the new games cost £59.99 its standard these days even on last gen.
Sony pricing is always more horrific than 360 dash, but both are awful.

XONE is the best console I have ever played by miles

The games are not average, forza and dr3 are stellar titles!!!!

I've been playing mine all day online with a mate and absolutely loving it, unfortunately battlefield and assassins creed haven't turned up today so I've been on fifa and forza which are both great and it will be good to check the other games out tomorrow I'm not a lover of voice commands but they work well and it's really quick and easy to switch between games and apps in 12 months once we have more games I can see this being an amazing console

I was browsing the store this morning and noticed that most games were on there for £44.99 now which isn't too bad a couple were still £54.99 though, if they get the pricing right on downloadable games I can see myself using them a lot purely because of how quick and convenient it is switching between them without messing about with discs

The xbone so far has impressed me , the little bit I have played. Finding your way round is tough and getting the right voice commands needs practice.
FORZA is cool although the top gear track dissapointed me full of wheelie bins.
BF4 dogs bollocks.

so far i'm impressed with the new machine.BF4 looks and plays great. The voice commands are not working very well at all. The dashboard is easy to use.
Not sure wether to get Assassins creed or Dead rising 3 for my next purchase.

Was surprised at the cost of the games when I went it to game.
BF4 was £54 and COD Ghosts was £59.99

Get to asda mate they are all between £40 and £50 in there  no doubt the other supermarkets will be similar

I got bf4 from Ammon for £47 just no bone to play it on yet

Most of amazons seem a little under £50

Voice commands work well . make sure you set up kenect right . The tv volume needs to be high when calibrating. The snap too function is greet for party feeds and activity feeds . Speek a little slower and clear and all will be fine .
Forza . First time for me and I find it a little complicated . It doesn't help playing with tossers that can't drive , KENT/RILED.   I will just have to get use to it.

The best way is to play , you can't brake anything. Trial and error.

ALL IS WELL WITH XBOX ONE.  

Glad nobody here is having any disc drive issues.
