2014 LJ's competition

I've decided to be a good girl this year, well actually I'm going to start next year, This competition may start either in January or Febuary (Feb might be better for the rewards)

This is how it goes, It can involve any amount of people. It will be a gaming tournement. Whoever wins I will buy them any game, old or new, special edition or regular, New if possible (if it's old might have to be pre-owned) I mentioned Febuary because of the new Final Fantasy 13 game. Although if I win, second place will get the reward instead so there will be a winner.


Only issue I have at the moment is ideas for games. I would like to even them out, Fighting, Driving, ECT. To give everyone an equal chance.

The games can be Arcade or retail though not Indie.

I would like it if people could recommend good tournement based games, even if it's team-based, example can be Team Fortress. Every game someone wins earns a point, after all the games, whomever wins the most points wins the reward.

I will even had a runner-up prize of any preowned retail game (Not special editions as they can be somewhat harder to find) And A special reward for a few that tried their best/shown some amazing skills in my opinion. These rewards will be either codes or arcade games of their choosing.


If there is a split winner, both will get the full rewards since I'm that nice.



If interested please add me on xbox and write on this topic if you're in, if you prefer January or Febuary and please for my sake pick out a few games. It can all be recorded by myself and anyone else interested. It will last a few weeks so everyone can get a chance to join in if they please.



I will update this myself when I figure out an equal oppertunity for all scoreboard. All ideas and add-ons are welcome, please share your thoughts.

I'm hoping to get the game list ready by december at the latest so everyone can get a chance of getting the games ready, if most can't we will just do something like pick 3 or 5 games that you have and when you choose them, can't join others, who wins the most over all wins, if there is too many ties, they can go head to head or something. The competition will happen, just the ideas are a mess for me, Ha.

I am in for whatever you do. Have a decent amount of games so stand a good chance of having something you pick.

Some ideas for games for this sort of thing, just off the top of my head:
Bomberman (XBLA - either)
Worms (XBLA - any)
Counter Strike GO (XBLA)

Trials could be good! If we picked Trials Evo you can have multiplayer races on that too.

I'll write down on a notepad all of the games and if you guys keep recommending and saying which you wouldlove to be a part of, I can start writing down names and for what, ECT.

We can do as many games as you guys want, I'm doing it for the fun and to try and bound with you people.



Also doesn't have to be a game against each other, could do something like Happy Wars against computers and whoever kills the most with least deaths wins, Anything and everything idea wise throw at me please.

Soul Calibur games would be quite good as they are very accessible to all skill levels. Just a thought off the top of me bonce..... Not that many peeps have them though I guess.

How about some kind of team thing as one aspect of the comp? Horde teams on Gears or something??

Hmm so you're saying a solo competition and a group competition? Two different competitions can be possible, just got to think of the multi prize.

Soul calibur is a great idea as well. I'll add it to the list though got to be careful, some people can just destroy these with custom characters (I use to be one ages ago, ha)

This is an awesome idea! I'd love to include some stuff for the xbox one, I would so be up for a tourney of the remade killer instinct!

Not sure if everyone will get an xbox one, I'm not even sure if I'll get one. However I can organize one when a few games start coming out for competitions, I won't play myself but can still hand out the rewards.

Yeah, possibly a bit of solo and a bit of team maybe? Just something I thought blurted out at this point really.

I suppose it's gonna come down to what games folks have though.

Another idea is to possibly use the Weekly leaderboard feature of certain games to track competition for a top score/time?

I haven't had a chance to fully read all this but support the idea and would be happy to donate a prize or two too help out if it runs multiple comps

Much appreciated! I might need help organising it with memebers as well since I'm a mute. Pretty hard to communicate other than typing. Also that's a good idea with weekly leaderboards, could do it through Jan to Feb so everyone gets a chance with different games, but I think we should have a limit to how many games one person can play, otherwise you might end up with someone joining everything, ha.

Any and all ideas welcome, any and all games also welcome, I'll do my best to get a few of them myself and try out or get advice and reviews from others here.

We have a few months to plan everything perfectly so no rush guys.

Sounds like a good idea, depending on the situation I might even be able to donate a prize.

GTA Online would be a good game to play, most people here seem to have it, and with things like capture the flag coming soon it could be a laugh getting everyone on that.

I would also like to throw Left 4 Dead into the mix here. 1 or 2.

Written them all down, feel free to keep mentioning ideas for games and tournements guys.

Awesome idea, but I have no idea about MP games as I never tend to play too many, but I do know Tree I think had some survival based Minecraft maps in the works which may help

We can do that as well, won't be one of the games I'll compete in though can't stand minecraft, but it's another competition for everyone else Added to the list.
