Already got this free off the Hammer for review.   

It is a very good game, and we shouldn't complain about a freebie I know, but next to PS+, you can't help but feel underwhelmed.

Fair point guys, however when I get the inkling to play on something that disconnects me all the time and doesn't have a chat option worth a damn, I'll look into ps+

I'm not a PS+ subscriber myself, am happy to pay for Xbox live's superior service compared to PS and I am not MS bashing but it just seems  like MS are scraping the barrel to give us something as tactical as they can. It's either something with shit loads of DLC that they hope you'll be compelled to purchase, or something that probably no longer sells well anyway!

They actually look more like tight bastards with these meager offerings than they would if they gave us nothing, if you catch my drift. It's like your stingy old Uncle albert sending you a fifty pence piece in a card at christmas, even though he's got 25 grand under the mattress!

Well I for one am pleased with this.

1. It's a game I don't have. So that's good.
2. I remember being intrigued by the demo, so I'll happily snap it up for free!
3. It's supposed to be £9.99, so at least they are giving us a high priced XBLA title and not a 400MSP one for example.
4. It gets generally good reviews, they could have given us any old turd.

In summary, me happy.

I have to be careful that I'm not mis-understood here. I just think they need to give us something a little newerer and betterer just once, just for their own sakes!

I would imagine they're saving some good stuff for Christmas. You know they always do those daily sales over the Christmas period? Well now they've been doing free stuff and latching onto the PS+ idea (kinda), I'm hoping that there might be a few more freebies involved in that sale. And not just avatar glasses this time either....

Lol. Yeah! I was thinking something similar. I thought maybe, the final games with gold freebie before the xbone arrives might be something killer.  That way everyone feels the love for MS just at the right time, and will spend loads of dosh on Xbone etc in the run up to Xmas.

Main thing for me is that they are giving us something that they were not before, for free none the less. It's just all I can go in is experiences I have had with ps3 and it's been nothing but a pain in the arse. Again it's all opinion though but people rave about it a lot and I just don't get it, if Microsoft wanted to properly compete with sony then I'm pretty sure they could if they REALLY wanted too. Compare the service as a whole and I still firmly believe xbl is way better than ps+, but again that's just me  

That said, I'm just happy for free stuff. Simple things I guess

This is a good offering.

PS+ makes M$ efforts look really poor.

Their is not cross game chat on PS and the trophy system is poor, but in many other ways it is better.

I play both consoles all the time and both have different strengths and neither can compete with Miiverse on nintendo wii U, sadly it has no achieves at all though which renders it abit limited for me

Not too sure what to think of the games but I'll try them on a guest account to see.. stuff, I'm not dissing MS but I feel they could've picked better games as a whole to try tide gamers over til the x-one comes out, since I think I read somewhere the free games stop in december or something (could be wrong) and it aint really getting to the level of free games the psn+ peeps are getting, I've had plus for like.. 2/3 months and ive gotten games like.. catherine/ac3/battlefield 3 to name a few which are a smidge better than games like.. well o.o crackdown 1.

Plus.. Kent   I think its a good thing theres at least one console that hasnt jumped on the chievo bandwagon, the wii u you can just turn on and play w/e and not care about stuff like that every once and a while.. imagine if mario bros u had chievos mate.. o.o'' try and 1k that

this is the second title they have made free that I don't have already

Now if they could start doing titles I don't have but actually want then it would be great

TBH though as I have now found some love for gta5 I wont be needing another 360 game for a few weeks

Poor hardrive is going o be full at this rate! Does the same rule apply of normal purchases with these? Once you've downloaded, if you delete it and then re download it, it's still free?
