Resident Evil 6 Demo out today!

Today is the day when the majority of us will first experience Resi 6's new game play (of course if your a silver member you'll have to wait longer). Within the demo will be content from all three characters sections and you'll have the chance to play solo or online co-op.

The first section lets you play as Leon S. Kennedy or Helena Harper and further explore the dark corridors and moonlit grounds of Ivy University, swarming with the victims of the latest bioterrorist attack.

The second section lets you play as Jake and Sherry Birkin on the streets of Lanshiang against the new J'avo enemies using Jake's hand-to-hand skills and Sherry's stun baton.

The final section is where you'll experience the story as Chris Redfield and Piers Nivans as they head with fellow BSAA team members to the war-ravaged streets of Edonia. The amassed J’avo forces provide a stiff enough challenge, but that’s before the three-story high B.O.W. Ogroman crashes the party. Select Piers for a slightly different weapons loadout than Chris including a sniper rifle with thermal scope..

Let's hope that Capcom learnt their listen and the "Sheeva" incident is a moment of the past!

I am on this as it looks a lot better than 5 ever did. That game was never my cup of tea.

Have you tried setting it up to auto upload through the website? May be the way around it?

I will try this.

Shockingly still not got very far in 5 though, not sure why as really enjoyed the two nights I did play.

I must admit I went through it in 3 different times

first up I meandered on my own, then later on hooked up with a mate and did the coop stuff then earlier this year I mopped up the 3 or 4 ach that I had outstanding


I enjoyed it each visit

Not sure whether I like 4 or 5 best but both were class

Thanks but managed to get I working through Xbox . Just played all 3 demo levels. Pretty good but was a little disappointed. Feels to action packed and not really resident evil like. Still enjoyable enough

I played one level and turned it off, it sucks. It felt nothing like a Resident Evil game, more like a cheap Gears, or Mass Effect knock off. It's a shame, the first Resident Evil and Resident Evil 4 are still two of the best games I've ever played.

I think they have made it a bit more like Resident Evil: ORC

Things I did like:
Amount of playable characters
Due to badly lit enviroments it felt quite tense
Being able to move while shooting
The new melee styles
When I was downed the AI actually got me up again for a change!

Things I didn't like:
The badly lit enviroments (Yes I KNOW they are like that to make it more tense, but I emptied a clip into complete shadow)
The control changes, I got very confused about what was what but I guess more playing will make this easier

It also always takes me ages to get to grips with the character taking up half of the screen/ never been a fan of the angles your forced to play with the resi games, but it is again, something I usually get used to after an hour or so.

This is based on just playing through one level as Sherry. I asumed all the other levels would be the same so I have't tried those out, will give it another crack later.

I didn't hate it but I did find it a bit awkward, but again I also feel like that when going back to a resi game. I'm going to give this a chance

YAY, good to see some poor feedback as Capcom never send out review copies to us anyway as we don't get 50,000 unique hits from only the UK each week!!
