Gears 3 double XP weekend with custom gnasher skin

Just thought I'd post this here for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Double XP all weekend, plus the chance to get a new gnasher skin. New XP multiplier for guardian, bonus objectives every 2 waves in horde.

Raven Down 24/7 playlist which is first to 10 execution with gnasher and golden snub loadout, also features tophats and flower blood. Sounds fun.

Looks like I will mainly be playing gears this weekend. Maybe if there is enough people we can organise a GSA gears gaming session for horde or beast

Last night i downloaded the new DLC but couldn't be bothered to play it, so played som Assassins Creed Brotherhood instead.

Suppose i really should take advantage of the XP boost and get on with playing the new maps.

Looks like I'll be playing Gears all weekend then!! I want to go green!!

Cool I might hammer this a little more then I was already going to now LOL. I'm loving the new maps and I've only got that 10 kills as leader to worry about now that and getting my second Re-Up only 25 ranks to go.

damn it my xbox is packed all ready for the big move

im not lucky enough to find any new maps and then because i cant just about everyone leaves its getting hard to get a hoard egame grrrr


so if anone wants to try a GSA hoarde on any new map then ill gladly join

From what I've tried so far aftermath seems best for hoard. If you camp on right hand side you can see majority of map

Damn I had no idea,been busy thrashing my lovefilm games, fortunately the weekend isn't over yet! Anyone any idea how we get the new weapon skin? I won't be on til later on the day.

Think its available straight away but only for the course of the event, once the event end the skin goes

Ah I hate when they do that, the best skins I've seen have been event only. Oh well doubt I will be on it, already done 2 re-ups so don't really need the XP. They could take down the amounts on some of the onyx medals, that would make me happy

Anyone else think the designer of the custom Gnasher skin for this event was a huge Hulk Hogan fan?

So glad I decided to go achievement hunting when I did last night, although the games with Bunny, Gabhlan and Ninja were fun and very tense, I thought it best to strike while the iron's hot and plenty of people are still after the achievement before Guardian gets populated with try hards.
Got a boosting party together but ended up playing very few bot only matches. Still, with all 5 of us communicating we had an advantage and all of us grabbed those elusive Ivory skins
Didn't get off the Xbox till 3am Good job it wasn't a school night

The changes they've made to Horde are pretty cool too. Gunkers on non boss waves adds some spice to the mix.


Most importantly though, huge thanks to Ninja and Rick for helping me with those Elite Mauler kills And surviving 20 waves without going down. Was so embarrassing getting downed on the 20th wave Must remember not to melee Drudges
