Good question considering before the Xbone was released they said backwards compatibility wouldn't work, due to the newer chip architecture, being unable to support 360 software.

They've obviously had somebody tinkering away trying to find a way of sorting the software.

Its digital only, all you have downloaded on 360 will appear plus any disc games you put in will need to be downloaded.

SO therefore only games on the list will work.

Only one on that list I would play is Mass Effect. Shame its no it the whole trilogy.

Just had a quick look at this from xboxacheivements.com. According to them, if You buy Fallout 4 you will get copy of Fallout 3 or if you buy Rainbow Six: Seige you get Rainbow Six Vegas 1&2 for free, I can't see that is heppening to be honest.

I live in constant fear of my very old 360 breaking down so this is great news! Also find it hard to go back to the 360 pad after using the xbone one, 100 games at launch I can't see it taking long for this to grow massively especially when all the publishers have to do is give MS the ok to add the games to the backward compatibility program.

Also nice that you can play with people on 360 and that game saves and achievements carry over

It was announced during E3 so it's definitely happening.

Well I got a youtube video of perfect dark the original working, takes a while to load in but gurless its "beta" and loading an emulator.

Borderlands going to be one of the first 100 games released for this.

Additionally, any games that required a peripheral, and that includes the original kinect, won't work on the One.

So we won't be able to use the games we bought for 360? Only those they provide us with?

Their aim is to get as many of them as possible to work with their emulator, but yeah, if your game doesn't make the approved list you won't be able to play it on the One.

Will likely be the same as the 360 backwards compatibility and be software emulation, this could have been done from the start but is costly to develop right and they had numbers from the 360 showing that it wasn't used much.

After the backlash at launch they must of been working on this since, I am surprised that they managed to keep this under wraps until the announcement.

It's basically a software version of the entire 360 - the guide button and everything will be included.

Yes you need the Disc unless its a digital purchase as they will show up automatically.

Will there be an improvement or a drop like on PS Now streaming?

The video of perfect dark ilovmyselfalot posted certainly looked better than what I remember the game looking like? I would hope there would be some graphical improvement?

Does look a bit nicer, ill try capture some gameplay at some point maybe multiplayer. Also I upload at 720p. But belive it is 1080p.
